
Homecoming 1955 Home Ec Taffy Apples
From the Kitchen of: Lois Schroeder Alfsen '56
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1 cup corn syrup
2 cans sweetened condensed milk
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
Instructions:
Cook first four ingredients until soft ball (232 degrees) or until creamy brown color. Add vanilla. Cool slightly. Insert skewer into apple and roll apples in mixture. Cool on parchment or wax paper. These were sold at Homecomings by Home Ec club.
