UWSP will celebrate the sixth annual Day of Giving (D.O.G.) on May 4, 2021. To help make this year’s D.O.G. a huge success, we’re recruiting alumni and friends of the university, such as yourself, to serve as social media ambassadors.

In this volunteer role, you will use your personal social media accounts to build awareness of, and support for, Day of Giving activities in the weeks leading up to this daylong fundraising event. We will provide a media kit filled with event information and suggested post themes, as well as graphics and image captions, to get you started.

Social media ambassadors commit to posting D.O.G. content three times minimum leading up to the Day of Giving and at least once on May 4—although posting more often, before the event and day-of, would be amazing! Ambassadors are also required to post at least one selfie while wearing Pointer gear on the actual Day of Giving.

You are encouraged to make this project your own by posting to your story on Instagram/Facebook, sharing one of the provided D.O.G. graphics on your social feed, sending out an email or tweet … whatever fits your style and suits your mood.

The social media ambassadors program launches on March 4, two months prior to the Day of Giving. If you’re interested in volunteering, please fill out the form below and Ashlee Weidman will reach out to you with more details about the program and the media kit. Get ready to become a social influencer on behalf of UWSP and the D.O.G.!

Terms of Agreement: As a representative of the university, I agree to not share content portraying violence, nudity, drugs and alcohol, profanity and other suggestive materials. I understand that if I share content of that nature, I will be removed from the D.O.G. social media ambassador program.

Reach out to Ashlee Weidman with any questions!
