UWSP Foundation Board Supports Recruitment and Admissions

This past August, UWSP was able to promote a "we pay your app fee" campaign thanks to the support from the UWSPF. During that time UWSP saw a 35% increase of first-year applications compared to last year; our admissions staff believes this is a direct result of paying application fees for students. This is critical to the future of UWSP because applications drive future enrollment, and strong enrollment is the key factor in the University’s financial health.

In order to continue these results in the future, funds must be found to fill the gap in revenue created by paying the fee for the students. At this time, because of Board of Regents policy, the University is unable to simply waive the application fee. The only alternative is to fund the fee from private donations.
