The heart of this message is simple: we cannot operate our program in a first-class manner without your support.
One hundred percent of all funds raised are directed to and used at the sole discretion of our basketball program, and every donor becomes a valued member of the Backcourt Club.

Over the past year, we experienced some incredible moments together.
We returned UW-Stevens Point Men’s Basketball to the national postseason for the 23rd time in program history, earning an NCAA Tournament berth for the first time in eight years. We spent much of the season nationally ranked, finished second in the WIAC and continued moving our program toward the standard that has defined Pointer Basketball for decades.
In August, our players experienced something even bigger than basketball when our program traveled to Greece for our first international trip in more than 30 years. Seventy-four players, coaches, families and supporters traveled together, creating memories and relationships that will last a lifetime.
And perhaps the accomplishment I am most proud of: 100% of the players in our program who had eligibility remaining chose to return.
In today's college athletics landscape, that matters.
It says something about our locker room. It says something about UW-Stevens Point. And it says something about the relationships being built between our players, coaches, alumni, fans and community.
Coach Dick Bennett once told our team, “Good basketball knows no division.”
There is a powerful truth in those five words. The purity of the game and the reasons so many of us first fell in love with basketball still exist here. At UW-Stevens Point, our goal is to prove that you can pursue excellence at an incredibly high level while still creating an experience built around relationships, development, education and representing something bigger than yourself.
What we offer isn't transactional.
Your gift directly impacts our players and their experience.
It helps us develop them. It allows us to travel and compete nationally. It creates opportunities like Greece. It supports meals, equipment, recruiting, technology and countless other pieces required to operate a championship-level program.
And it allows us to continue investing in the future.
The transformation of the Mike and Jill Williams Men’s Basketball Locker Room and the momentum behind our Quandt Fieldhouse videoboard project are examples of what can happen when people believe in our program. These aren't short-term splashes. They are long-term investments that will impact Pointer Basketball players, recruits, alumni and fans for years to come.
