Women's Wrestling

Heading into year five of Pointers Women’s Wrestling, the team has some special accomplishments and even bigger goals. In a national tournament that includes NCAA schools from DI, DII, and DIII, we have finished as high as 8th and in the top-20 every season. Our ladies have earned All-American Honors 9 times. Jessika Rottier won the athletic departments most recent individual national title, and Brooke Thurber earned both All-American and Academic All-American honors in all three of her seasons in purple and gold. Last year’s squad was crowned as the NCWWC Regional Champions.

The 2023-24 squad includes three past collegiate All-Americans (Rose Ann Marshall, Abby Nelson, Jade Herzer), three U23 World Team Trials place-winners (Ngao Shoua Whitethorn, Tabitha Breitrick, Amor Tuttle), ten returning national qualifiers, and an exciting incoming class of 14 athletes.

We have a team that can compete well nationally and very well against other DIII schools, but we need your help. Though we have beaten DI programs both in duals and at the national tournament, competing with teams with those resources requires us to also compete with them in the resources and environment we provide for our student-athletes. Roster growth from 8 wrestlers in our first season to 29 this year increases our travel costs for every competition. We have athletes who can be competitive at their age-group World Team Trials and the Senior US Open, but limited funds to get them there. Your donation to Pointers Women’s Wrestling will help our program to continue to grow both in size and in accomplishments and to continue to provide our women with a first-class experience.
